Privacy notice
Your address makes the signature useful. It stays private here.
The Johnson Creek Dog Park Initiative collects enough information to show Portland leaders that petition signatures come from real people and local households. This notice explains how that information is handled.
Information collected
The petition requires a first and last name, residential street address, city, state, ZIP code, and a confirmation that the signer supports the petition. Email addresses and comments are optional.
How it is used
Organizers use petition records to count signatures, remove duplicates, document local support, contact a signer when a record needs clarification, and present the petition to Portland Parks & Recreation or other city officials. Campaign emails are sent only to people who choose that option.
What remains private
Street addresses, unit numbers, and email addresses are never shown on the public website. The campaign may provide a signer's name and address to the city as part of the petition and its verification. Personal information is not sold or rented.
Storage and retention
Petition records are stored in a secured Neon PostgreSQL database. Records are kept while the campaign is active and as needed for city review. Organizers may later delete or de-identify records that are no longer needed.
Questions or deletion requests
To ask about a petition record, correct it, or request its deletion, email the campaign. Include the name and address used to sign so the correct record can be found.
